RCVE Supporting our military families for the holidays.

During the holiday season our Rotary Club of Ventura-East helped support three military families in Ventura County. Sara Masterson shopped for our first family which included two boys ages 1 and 7 and a 10 year old girl. Amber Stevens shopped for our second family with four children, three boys ages 5, 12 and 15 and a 4 year old girl. My daughters and I shopped for our third family which was comprised of the mom (being deployed in January), the grandmother and a four year old boy.

We took the gifts (all marked) to the Ventura County Military Collaborative on December 17, 2016 and there was a line of children and their families outside. A large conference room had been arranged with donations for many organizations. Our gifts were provided directly to our three families. Kim Davis, the Executive Director, said the grandmother cried when she saw the gifts for one of our families. All of our families were very appreciative of our efforts.
