President Bruce rang the bell and thanked Wendy Pazen for greeting and taking attendance today.

Midge Stork announced that the raffle prize was a $50 gift card to Trader Joe's donated by Carol Marquez-Olson.
 
Rotaract President Juan Espinosa thanked the club for our generous to the Foster Children's Christmas Party. Juan gave us the following dates for the party:
November 30 - Wish list deadline.
December 3 - Gift Wrap party
December 7 - Party at the City Center
 
Ron Polito generously donated up to $250 in matching funds towards the Children's Christmas Party if the club would step up and donate $250. Many members raised thier hands to pledge $50 so we raised at least $500 for the Children's Christmas Party. Thank you to Ron and the members who pledged $50.
President Bruce also passed a sign up sheet for those who wished to help shop for the party.
 
Joe Strohman announced that John Masterson has nominated a CMH employee for the next Employee of the Quarter award.
 
President Bruce told us that Michelle Cekov is in Nicaragua checking over the projects.
 
Rich Stewart reminded us that the Christmas Party will be at the Rubicon this year and we can buy discounted tickets for the play "A Christmas Carol" after the party. Sign up now!
 
President Bruce reminded us that our club and Rotaract will be building Can Christmas Trees for FoodShare this year. Rotaract is currently doing a canned food drive and has boxes out in a few businesses. If your business can put a box out, let President Bruce or Juan Espinosa know.
 
Joe Strohman then handed out two Student of the Quarter awards to Micah Peterson sponsored by Tim Blackwell and to Kiyana Morris sponsored by Carol Marquez-Olson.
 
President Bruce let us know that the board has approved making Natalie Debbas an Honorary member of the club.
 
Midge Stork conducted the raffle and our lucky winner was Husam Hishmeh.
 
John Borneman led us in a song.
 
Our speaker today was Barry Fisher, Director of the Ventura Healthcare Agency. Barry filled us in on the progress of the new county hospital.
