Guests today were our speaker Kate Carter from LifeChronicles. Guest of Juan Mendoza was his father Juan Mendoza Sr. Guest of Tim Blackwell was Lars Lundstrom. Guests of the club were Sara Masterson and Michael Martin. Guest of Tom Swan was Justin Schipp and visiting Rotarians were Brenda Alison and Hutch.
 
Brenda Alison announced a "Sushi & Sake" event at her move to benefit Casa Pacifica on May 19th. The cost is $200/couple.
 
Tim Hughes passed around a sign up sheet for donations to buy library books for the "New" Blanche Reynolds library.
 
President Bruce announced that there will be a club foundation meeting immediately after the club meeting.
 
President Bruce thanked everyone who came out for the Social last week. It was a lot of fun and there was pretty good club participation.
 
Dave Anderson let us know that GoCare had completed phase one of the global grant and that the second phase is now in progress.
 
Rich Stewart spoke about the Atlas School Volunteer breakfast. Many club members participated in the tutoring project last year and we look forward to another good year next year.
 
Tim Blackwell let us know that the smart money was on Nyquist in the Kentucky Derby this weekend.
 
Jordan Eller reminded us that scholarship interviews would be the week of May 23rd and we would be making the presentations on June 2nd.
 
President Bruce let us know that he and Kathy would be accompanying Rotaract on their house build in Mexico this year.
 
President Bruce thanked Tim Blackwell for doing the club orientation for Sara Masterson, Amber Stevens and Colin Hoag. We will be inducting Sara, Amber and Colin next week.
