Meeting March 16, 2017

Todd Juvonen / Carol Marquez-Olson led us in the Flag Salute.

 

Mike Martin introduced guests and visiting Rotarians. Our guests were Angelina Lopez, Sandra Buga, Coral Hansen, Cheryl Connery, Rima Hishmeh, Deborah Roberts, Larry Stevenson, Ashley Pope, Patty Garcia, David Perlman, Jan Baily, Lucille Miller & Bill Klope. Visiting Rotarians were Mario De Piedra, Mike Anderson, Brenda Alison, Hutch & Ben Unseth.

 

Jeff Hata read the Object of Rotary and Joe Strohamn the 4 Way Test.

 

Midge Stork announced that we had 2 raffle prizes today. The first was a St. Patty's Day Golf Gift Basket filled with lots of good stuff to help you celebrate St. Patrick's day donated by Rich Stewart and the second prize was a $50 gift card to Aloha Steakhouse.

 

Bob Lynn gave our joke of the day.

 

Harriet Clune shared what our club does. Our motto is Service Above Self and we do many projects which include Polio Plus, GoCare in Nicaragua, Operation Splash with the YMCA, Push-em Pull-em parade, City Center, Military Families at Christmas, Interact, Rotaract, RYLA, Foodshare Canned Tree drive, 4 Way Test Essay contest and more.

 

President Husam spoke about the Rotary Cruise. 30 people had the best time EVER! Thank you to John "Captn Cruise" Masterson for setting it up.

 

John Borneman led us in a song.

 

Midge Stork conducted the raffle and our lucky winners were Tim Blackwell and Husam Hishmeh!
