Bill Spellman introduced guests and visiting Rotarians. Visiting from the Rotary Club of Camarillo was President Bob Harrell. Guest of Jeff Burgh was Renee Higgins. Guests of Jim Emch were his granddaughters Aiden Carter and Alice Potter. Guest of the club was Margarida Eidson and guest of Sharon Daly was Kevin Daly.
 
President Harriet thanked Bob Noville for bringing a wireless mike setup for us to try and Ayn Devera for greeting. President Harriet also thanked Greg Frye for taking attendance.
 
Midge Stork said that our raffle prize was a gift card to Sprouts donated by Laura Shannon.
 
Dave Morris gave our joke of the day.
 
President Harriet presented Husam Hishmeh with a badge proclaiming Husam Hishmeh as our club "Friendship Ambassador."
 
Kathy McGee passed around a clip board for duty roster sign ups.
 
Margarida Eidson announced the Poinsettia Pavilion's birthday party on October 21st!
 
Todd Juvonen spoke about the attendance and make-up policy.
 
President Harriet passed out district pins to those who hadn't received them already.
 
Avenues of service:
Vocational Service - Joe Strohman asked for members to make Vocational Employee of the Quarter nominations.
 
Community Service - Amber Stevens told us about two upcoming opportunities: United Way Day of Caring and the YMCA's Operation Splash Graduation Party.
 
Club Service - Jeff Hata spoke about Nightmare on the Hill scheduled for October 28th.
 
Youth Service - Jeff Hata asked for volunteers for Interact and Rotaract Advisors. We would like two people for each position. Joe Strohman will fill one of the Rotaract Advisor positions.
 
Husam Hishmeh apologized to the club for missing the Push-em Pull-em Parade and announced he would like to start an new Avenue of Service to take care of the elderly.
 
Vance Thompson announced an artist showcase from an artist at the Wave.
 
Bruce McGee thanked Jordan Eller, Steve Harbison, Tim Hughes, Vance Thompson and Tom Swan for helping with the BBQ trailer cleanup.
 
John Borneman led us in a song.
 
President Harriet let us know that there is a trip to Nicaragua in the planning stages for November 5 - 11th.
 
President Harriet read a note from GoCare thanking the club for our donations to help Indiana's son.
