Meeting February 16, 2017

Nicole Kruetz led us in the Flag Salute.

 

Guests today were P.D.G. Wade Nomura. Guests of the club were Melody O'Leary Namikas and Steve Harbison. Guest of Carol Marquez-Olson was her niece Maryanne Schindler, guest of Kris Hansen was Moorpark Morning Rotarian Bill Gomez, guest of Michael Martin was Jesse Hancocks, guest of President Husam was Peter Duffy and guests of Jeff Hata was Rosandra Esquivel and Ashley Pope. Visiting from Ventura Downtown was Amy Bailey.

Our raffle prize today was a gift card to Wood Ranch BBQ graciously donated by Bill Spellman.

 

President Husam reminded us about the Mardi Gras Fundraiser being hosted by Ventura-South on February 26th.

 

John Borneman led us in our song of the day and also gave our joke of the day.

 

Tim Blackwell inducted Melody O'Leary Namikas and Steve Harbison into the club.

Bruce McGee and P.D.G. Wade Nomura presented Paul Harris Fellowships to Joe Strohman and Midge Stork from former member Ron Polito, Alison Thompson, Amber Stevens from Jeff Hata and Colin Hoag from Judy Hoag.

Jeff Hata let the club know that former member, Rocky Ludes' mother passed away last week. A memorial service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church on February 23rd at 2:00 pm.

 

President Husam read a thank you letter to the club for finding and returning a portfolio that Godfrey Harris left after speaking to the club a few weeks back. Godfrey sent a $25 donation to the club along with his letter.
