We will be meeting on July 7^th for a joint meeting with Downtown. The speaker will be Paul Orfalea, the founder of Kinko’s.

We have a community service opportunity at Blackstock to cook hamburgers for the incoming 7^th graders on August 16^th.

Mikyung Zdybowicz has a booth at the Ventura County Fair. Please stop by if you go to the fair.

The three club BBQ fundraiser has been cancelled.

The District Conference will be at the Historic Madonna Inn on October 25 & 26.

Bruce McGee inducted 2 new members today. We welcomed George Golden & Dr Claudia Laurido-Habib.

Our speaker today was Joseph Fuquay from The Rubicon.

Rotary Club of Ventura-East

Elevator Speech

We are a nonpolitical, nonsectarian social organization comprising local business, civic and professional leaders. We meet regularly to get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to solve community and global problems with service projects. Like:

Scholarships at 5 local high schools,
Interact Clubs at 3 local schools.
Support the YMCA, City Center, Ventura Botanical Gardens
Promote literacy and career guidance in schools
Internationally we support a medical project in Ethiopia and contribute to eliminating Polio worldwide.

The Rotary Club of Ventura-East meets Thursday noon to 1:30 at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura. Come and learn more about Rotary's humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in this community. Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference.
