The title for this week is RCVE: Mirror and Crystal Ball. We will nominate a PEN for 2025-26, review our accomplishments, and get a jump start on the rest of the Rotary year. This is your opportunity to provide input and feedback on fundraisers, projects, programs and set the path for new ideas going forward. Your valued participation is sincerely requested-required.
Anyone interested in going to the Family Justice Center after this week’s meeting? We will be delivering the donated items collected at the Holiday party. Let me know and be there at 2 pm.
Also this week, we will be sponsoring a table at the Ventura South Mardi Gras event on March 10th. The first 10 people with $50 each (cash or check on Thursday) can represent our club. Proceeds benefit the Turning Point Foundation.
We have some great programs lined up for February, starting with Michelle (Mikyung) Zdybowicz and her team from Jeden Biosciences. So make it a goal to invite someone to each meeting. Let’s spread the word about what a great place Rotary is for making friends, learning new things about what’s happening in the community, and being part of making our world a better place.
The Calendar:
Feb 1 – Jeden Biosciences
Feb 8 – Connie Hood, Local Author
Feb 15 – social, TBA
Feb 22 – Sonny Horses 4 Kids, equestrian therapy
Feb 29 – Christine Cardona-Threadgill – Friends of Fieldworkers
In recognition that this is an election year and that there is divisiveness in our country and the world, I remind you that Rotary is a neutral zone. Thank you for respecting and enjoying the a-political aspect of our organization.
